[ 6 Sep 25 ] Bromley FC v GILLS Match Thread

- Excluding local competitions, the only 3 senior meetings between the sides was a 4-1 Gills FA Cup win and last season's league fixtures which Bromley won both of.
- Bromley are unbeaten this season (9 games) - winning 3 and drawing 6 including a penalty shootout exit in the League Cup. Crossing over from last season, they are unbeaten in 13 (6 wins). The Gills are also unbeaten this season with a cup shootout exit and are unbeaten in 20.
- Both Bromley and the Gills are the only sides in League 2 with an unbeaten record. Bromley are unbeaten in 6 home league games (5 wins) whilst the Gills are unbeaten in 9 away league games (2 wins).

(17.51) Kamamba dinks the ball over Morris and goalbound but it is flicked away only as far as Cheek who heads into the unguarded net only to find McKenzie there to head off the line.
(17.57) Kamamba crosses for Cheek who is too close to goal. He heads back to keep it in play and the ball is allowed to bounce by the goalline and Morris catches the loose ball at the second attempt.

(18.36) A Bromley freek is perfect and falls to the feet of Sowunmi but the ball brushes off him close to goal and behind for a goal kick.
(18.40) Grant parries a bullet header at close range from Nevitt following a Gills corner.
(18.42) Andrews gets into space and has a good header at goal which goes centimetres wide of the right hand post.

(18.49) Michael Cheek hits the right hand post.
(19.00) The ball deflects into the path of Kabamba who tries to toe poke it over Morris as he tried to gather the ball but he grasps it at the second attempt as it went above him.
(19.03) Fantastic save from Morris to push away a strong shot with whole of the goal to aim at. It rebounds to Cheek whose volley deflects over the ball for a corner.
(19.14) Very scrappy in the Gills' 6 yards box with the ball somehow not being able to be tapped over the line before Morris finally grabs it.
(19.19) The fourth official signals for a minimum of 7 minutes to be added.
(19.22) Penalty! McCleary is fouled inside the box. The goalkeeper is treated after being hit in the head as McCleary was brought down.
