Jesus Christ give me a break, go and get John Akinde from Barnet, or Godden Steven from Luton if they don't get promoted, some 10 goal a season player is going to do nothing in a promotion battle as long as you have a hole in your ass.
We scored two goals after the 90 minute mark, WELL DONE GILLINGHAM, best three points we have had all season, but please don't count on that happening every game.

How many players have scored 81 goals for Gillingham? Cody is in the top 7 all time goalscorers for Gillingham.I think it is amazing that Cody has 12 goals this season considering the poor service he gets week in week out.The two goals he scored on Friday were both out of nothing. Some fans want him to be let go in the Summer, amazing really when it would cost £300,000 for a similar player. If he stays next season he could really chase down 100 goals for the club. For me is a legend of the club and the history books show that.
Noircat Premier League Champion 2007,and 2014.Noircat FA Cup (Runner Up 2014).Promoted to the Premier League (Runner Up 2017,and 2020 in the Championship).

Go and get Vaughn from Bury, he has only banged in 22 this season, must have been getting great service from that table topping outfit, go get Miller from Dover the second they miss promotion, I am pretty convinced that Gillingham without a 20+ goal scoring player are NOT going to get promotion. Cody Mac's record does not in my 'umble opinion make him a $300,000 player, which is why no one came after him before this season started.
2013/14 17 goals
2014/15 16 goals
2015/16 5 goals, (yes I know)
2016/17 13 goals
Think I see a trend starting here, and we want to keep him so he can score 12 or 13 goals next season and set some sort of record one of only 6 or 7 to score a 100 goals and how great will it be if he is wearing a Gillingham shirt .
YYYEEAAHHHHH , that will be great wonderful Cody Mac scores his 100 goal on the last day of the season, as Gillingham lose to Table topping Dover and get relegated for the 153 rd time in their History.
Time to cut ties with old man Cody Mac , jeezz the guys like 33 now, thats on the down slope, time to go after Vaughen ,or Miller, Cheek from Braintree, someone that can put 20 in the back of the net next season.

Cody has not had the partner he had in recent seasons. We ALL know he needs a partner but Jed played him at front on his own. He is consistent. Vaughan could well be like Pope, one good season then fail to achieve anything in following ones. At least with Cody you know you are guaranteed 15 goals if you set up right instead of spending £300,000 on a player that will score 4.

Two years out of the last six this guy averaged 15 goals , since 2010 he has averaged about 7 goals a season, SEVEN, jeezz I could go out and get 20 guys that can score 7 goals a season and they sure as hell won't cost 300,000 pounds and they won't be a 31 year old with a year or two left to play.
NOW is the time to sell him, if you can, better sell him a year early than get nothing next year, isn't he out of contract this year ??

Yes, out of contract in the summer so we either offer him a new deal which I'd expect him to sign but won't cost us much or let him go and spend out on a player that may or not do the business. Better to spend the money on the defence in my opinion.
