Saturday 26th
Match day - York City v GILLS (EFL Sky Bet League 2)

Sunday 27th
The York defeat was the third for the Gills in league and cup competitions this season and all have been by a 3-goal margin and the last 5 defeats have all been by at least 3 goals. Just 2 of the previous 12 defeats in all competitions for the Gills have been by 1 goal.

Monday 28th
When 0-1 down away from home at half time, the York defeat was the 32nd game without a win since last overcoming the deficit at Swindon back in March 2021. The Gills lost 26 of those 32 games when losing 0-1 at the break on the road.

Tuesday 29th
The 9 goals conceded after 8 league games is the most in 4 seasons since also letting in 9 in the 2022/3 season, a season that the Gills had scored just 2 goals in that period. The 6 seasons before (and 8 of the previous 9) had each seen more Gills goals conceded after 8 games.

Wednesday 30th
After 10 games of the season, the Gills have already hit the woodwork 6 times (5 of which came in the first 3 games), matching the Gills' total from the whole of last season. Brophy struck the frame of the goal for a 2nd time against York whilst Goodwin has done it 3 times this season.

Thursday 1st
After failing to have a shot on target themselves, York prevented the Gills from having a shot on target in the following game. It was the first time the Gills failed a shot in a league game since game 42 last season and followed stopping their opponents having a shot the game before.

Friday 2nd
The York game was the 3rd of the Gills' last 19 league games to have seen them fail to manage a single shot on target in the match. They followed the 76 previous league games where the Gills managed at least 1 shot on target in each of them, averaging 3.7 per game.
