Including Southern League matches, this is the 81st meeting between the clubs with the vistors leading the wins 34 to 27.

Our last visit to the Matchroom Stadium saw us run out 1-0 winners in the FA Cup in December 2011. The last league win there was back in January 1996 with the only goal coming from Leo Fortune-West.

Orient have failed to win any of their last 5 league matches and have drawn 1 and lost 2 of their last 3 home games, scoring just the one goal.

Leyton Orient's last 13 home league matches have registered 5 wins, 2 draws and 6 defeats.

After just 17 league matches the O's had registered 13 wins but only 9 from the following 23, the same amount as the #Gills!

Orient's points came from a spell that continued from last season. It saw them secure 67.3% of the points securing 34 wins, 13 draws and 10 defeats. The first 16 League 1 games of last season and the last 14 of this season have seen them pick up only 36.6% of the points available (9 wins, 6 draws, 15 defeats) and 40.4% of their last 14 (win percentage of 28.6%).

Orient are League 1's top scorers away from home with 38 but have scored 3 fewer and conceded the same number of goals in home games.

103 goals were scored in league games involving Leyton Orient last season. With 5 games to go, there have already been 111 this season.

The tie on Boxing Day between the clubs had David Mooney on 15 goals from 24 appearances. He has added only 3 in his subsequent 26 matches.
Kevin Lisbie has also lost his spark. Sitting on 12 from 21 appearances on Boxing Day, he has added just 2 goals from the following 19 matches he played in.

Dean Cox has provided the most assists for the O's for the past 4 seasons, a whopping 63 assists and 32.0% of the games he played in. Chris Whelpdale remains the Gills top player for assists with 14 from 119 appearances for the club, 11.8% of the games he played in.

Despite only conceding 15 more fouls than the Gills, Orient have picked up 23 more yellow cards but only 1 red card all season.

Orient scored 10 more goals than they conceded in the final 10 minutes of games whilst the Gills have conceded 11 more than they have scored.

Leyton Orient let in the fewest number of goals in the last 10 mins of games last season, just 3. Bradford and Walsall have conceded the least this season with 4.

The O's have conceded 8 last 10 minute goals in 87 games over the last 2 seasons. The Gills have conceded the most in League 1 this season with 19.
