Leyton Orient (H) - 26 Dec 13

Postby Garawa » Thu Dec 26, 2013 1:19 pm

Besides recent cup ties, the last league tie between the sides ended 3-1 to the home side 4 years ago (Orient's only win in 9).

In the last 12 matches between the clubs there have been 7 occasions when a side has scored 3 or more goals in the game.

A third of all 57 ties have seen at least 4 goals in the game but none have seen more than 6 and neither side has scored 5 on their own!

Just 4 goals have been scored in the opening 20 minutes of Leyton Orient's league fixtures but 12 went in in the following 10 minute period.

Orient have scored an average of 2.3 goals in their away games this season. 7 of the 20 league matches have seen them score at least 3.

Top scorer David Mooney misses the game with suspension after scoring 15 goals from 24 appearances.
They do have 12 goal Kevin Lisbie in the side however he hasn't scored in any of the last 8 games he has featured in.

Orient sat mid-table in January last season having picked up 44.4% of the points available from the 27 matches.
The remaining matches saw them secure 61.4% of the points on offer finishing 7th. This season they have earned 69.8%.

Leyton Orient have played 21 games and picked up 44 points, exactly the same amount the Gills had last season at the same stage.

With 45 goals Leyton Orient are the joint highest scorers in the football league (with Derby). 25 have come in away games, the most in League 1.
