- The Gills lead the wins over Barrow by 10 wins to 7 and a further 6 meetings were drawn. Barrow have won the last 2 meetings and are unbeaten in 7 against the Gills, winning 4 of them.
- The Gills meetings with Barrow last season were the first since the 1971/2 season meaning that the Gills last win came back in April 1969 - a 2-0 home win. It was a 3rd successive home win over Barrow but the Gills are winless in 3 since, losing 1 and drawing 1-1 in the last 2.
- The Gills played Barrow in the reverse fixture at the start of March. Barrow won the match starting an unbeaten run of 6 (including 4 wins) after previously losing 3 in a row and winning 1 out of 7 in the league. That unbeaten run has ended with consecutive defeats.
- Barrow have conceded the fewest number of second half goals in League 2 with 19 in their 41 games. They have conceded just 1 goal after half time in their last 8 games since letting in 4 in a 5-3 loss at Salford where they were leading 3-1.
