[ 6 Aug 22 ] GILLS v Rochdale Match Thread

- There have been more draws (19) between Rochdale and the Gills than either side have won, the Gills winning 17 of the meetings to the visitor's 16.
- The Gills are unbeaten in 5 meetings with Rochdale, last losing a fixture against them in an away match in September 2018 - a 0-3 away loss for a second year in a row against them. Those 2 0-3 defeats were the only occasions in 17 meetings in which the Gills failed to score.
- Rochdale's last win at Priestfield came during the Gills' title in September 2012. Since then, there have been 5 Gills wins and 2 draws which have both come during their last 3 visits.
- Rochdale lost their home game last Saturday but won their previous away game at Newport on the final day of last season, a match which ended a run of 6 successive away defeats.

(15.32) In the space of 5 minutes, the Gills put Rochdale under a lot of pressure after having 2 shots on target saved, 2 blocked and another missed the target.

(16.05) The second half kicks off.

(16.08) Reeves has a free kick which forces the Rochdale 'keeper into a good save.

(16.21) Williams is the Gills hero after twice in 5 minutes deflecting good shots away from danger.

(16.23) With Baggot and Ehmer out of position, Wright does well to cover with a brilliant interception.

(16.25) 2-3 defenders try to pull Green down but he passes to Reeves whose shot is well saved.

(16.36) Mandron does well to control a high ball but not enough to to prevent it going just over the bar.

(16.54) FULL TIME 1-0
