[ 23 Apr 22 ] Portsmouth v GILLS Match Thread

- Portsmouth are 9th, 10 points away from 7th position but with only 9 points left to play for. They are also 10 points clear of 12th placed Cambridge.
- The Gills have won just 9 of the 40 meetings whilst Portsmouth have won 21. Since twice beating Portsmouth when they were top of the league in 2018/19, the Gills are winless in 5 against them when placed 4th, 9th, 9th, 10th and 16th in the table at the time of meeting.
- The Gills last lost at Fratton Park in the league back in February 2003. Excluding cup results, they are unbeaten in 4 visits drawing the last 2 after 2 wins.
- Portsmouth enjoyed an unbeaten spell recently of 8 games during which they twice won 3 games in a row. The most recent 7 since them have seen just 2 wins however these have come in their last 3 games where they are unbeaten.
- Portsmouth have lost as many home league games (4) as the Gills have won away from home. They have scored 40 home league goals, 6 more than the Gills have scored at home and away combined.

The goal goes in 30 seconds after the whistle should have been blown after the 1 additional minute had ended. Neil Harris is sent off for complaining and a yellow for a Gills coach. Drysdale does what Drysdale does best.

(16.23) Portsmouth go through on goal and shoots at goal but into the side netting. A large chuck of the crowd thought it was in.

(16.30) Gills bring on Dickson-Peters and go 4-3-3. Curtis goes through on goal for his hat-trick but fires straight at Chapman.

(16.49) Key Goal! Fleetwood Town 1-1 AFC Wimbledon.

(16.57) 2 minutes into the additional 7 that has been added and Chapman is forced into a good save.
