Postby Garawa » Sat Sep 25, 2021 1:29 pm

- The Gills and Cambridge have only met twice since their last league meeting back in October 1999 - a home match which the Gills won. The most recent 2 meetings came in cup competitions in 2020 and 2003.
- The Gills lead the wins by 11 wins to Cambridge's 6 and just 2 of the 19 meetings have been drawn. The last fixture between the sides in 2020 saw a Gills away loss and the tie before in 2003 saw a Gills away win. The Gills last won in the league at Cambridge in August 1988.
- Cambridge have only scored 3 first half league goals this season but they have come in their last 4 matches. 4 of the 7 first half league goals they have conceded have been in the last 3 games including 3 in 1 game, 1 of 2 occasions in League 1 this season.
- Cambridge have 3 league wins this season with all of them coming in their last 5 games. The other 2 results were their most recent home League 1 games - a 5-1 loss to Lincoln and Saturday's 2-2 home draw with Fleetwood.
- 12th placed Cambridge are 1 of 4 sides to have scored in every league game this season; the others are Wigan, (1st), MK Dons (3rd) and Ipswich (21st). Despite scoring in every game, 9 sides in League 1 have scored more goals.
- In all competitions, Cambridge's 1-5 home loss to Lincoln is their only home defeat this season (4 wins, 3 draws). That defeat is their only home defeat in 9 games and followed successive home defeats at the end of last season.
