- Both games between the Gills and Plymouth last season ended 1-0 to the side playing at home and both home sides won 3-1 the previous season in which they met. The sides share the spoils over the last 6 meetings with 3 home wins each.

(15.02) Kick Off [ 4 - 1 - 3 - 2 ]

(15.05) Oliver causes some concern in the Argyle box. Tutonda hangs in a cross which the 'keeper has to watch along with Oliver who gets his head to the ball and wins a corner.

(15.17) A Plymouth attacker has a great opportunity to poke the ball past Cumming but a last-gasp slide by Jackson flicks the ball away for a corner.

(15.23) The Gills put Plymouth under huge pressure with attempts from Dempsey, Oliver and Carayol in the space of a few seconds. Cumming has to close down the Plymouth attack from the break.

(15.30) Cumming has to make a great save following a close-range header from a cross.

(15.39) Akinde's turn to cause problems in the defence by being prevented from putting a good chance away but wins a corner instead.

(15.40) Good chance for the host's to take the lead but the chance goes wide.

(15.48) Half time 0-0

(16.04) The second half kicks off.

(16.14) Plymouth start the half well and have a couple of chances where any touch might have deflected the ball in for the opening goal.

(16.30) Hardie gets a header at goal which loops behind Cumming but on to the roof of the net.

(16.40) The Gills make their 3 substitutions within a 9 minute period. Gills are holding on with players looking very tired.

(16.44) A fierce shot, which looked as if it was going wide, takes a big deflection and just misses the bar.

(16.47) GOAL! Plymouth Argyle 1-0 Gillingham: Jephcott

(16.56) With nothing left, the Gills have 1 last attack after Carayol is hauled down. The free kick is cleared as far as Lee who curls a shot into the 'keepers arms as the referee blows for full time.

(16.56) FULL TIME 1-0

A disappointing performance by the looks of it. Their goal seemed to be coming for most of the second half.
