It seems reading the reports from the Sunderland papers Gillingham came out firing on all cylinders, and looked the better side in the first half. Now Mr Evans why can't we play like that all the time ?

I watched it on live stream and to be honest, I wouldn't get your hopes up too much. First half we were pretty good but the hoofball tactics we use are very hit and miss. Yesterday it got us a point but it's easy to see why we are so inconsistent and have lost as many as we've won. A point at Sunderland is a decent result and the guys did put in a shift but this type of football is not going to get us promoted.

A really good performance, and I think we were unlucky not to win.Their first goal took a big deflection to go in after we started well.MacDonald equalised with a lovely drive into the bottom corner for his first goal. Then they got a soft penalty to go 2-1 up.Bonham made two saves from it,but couldn’t stop them putting the third attempt over the line.Big credit to our players for not giving in,and Graham equalise with a decent finish to earn us a point.

A point was the least we deserved, and we have got another decent point at Sunderland
