- Doncaster have won just 13 of the 65 meetings whilst the Gills have won 33. 21 of the Gills wins have come in the 32 games played at Priestfield.
- The Gills first 25 home games against Doncaster saw 19 wins, 5 draws and 1 defeat. The most recent 7 have seen 2 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats - the Gills won 3-0 in the last match in December (an FA Cup game) whilst Rovers won the last league meeting in Kent.
- Doncaster have won 7 of their last 12 league games and lost 3 of them. The Gills have won 6 of their last 13 league games but are unbeaten during that period. Since the 3-0 home loss to Rotherham, the Gills home record stands at 5 wins and 2 draws.
- Since 3 consecutive away defeats in November and December, Doncaster have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1 on the road. The first win in that spell was a 3-0 win at free-scoring Peterborough and the last was their previous away game, a 3-0 win at Tranmere.
- Doncaster have conceded 9 first half goals, the fewest in League 1, whilst the Gills have conceded 10 second half goals, the joint fewest in League 1 (alongside Sunderland) with more goals scored.
- Doncaster have the best save percentage of all League 1 sides, stopping 73.9% of all shots on target from resulting in goals. The Gills are 4th, after having the highest League 1 save percentage for the past 2 seasons, with 72.1% saved.
- Doncaster have only been behind at half time in 4 league games this season, the fewest games in the division. They won 1 and lost 3 of them, including both away games.

Did the world end, did a big sink hole open up and swallow Priestfield Road, did Mr G fall off his roof perch in Storm Dennis, maybe devoured by clouds Bob and Sue, or hit by the raindrops Kenny, Mike, Stephy Steve Frank and Tommy , what happened what happened , did we win ?

Ha ha. Always difficult updating at half time. The second half was much more frantic so couldn't do it then and then drove home. The wind was awful in the second half so it felt like we were about to be devoured!

The poor Rovers defender who scored 2 own goals must have wished it did for him! That said, it looked as if the first one was curled straight in by O'Connor. The irony of their fans calling us dirty when both Ehmer and Fuller had been prostrated by elbows was annoying.

From reading Twitter we didn’t play as good as we have been, but that could be the conditions too.Our luck at the moment is right up there with just two shots on target, but both our goals were scored by Doncaster’s Cameron John! Doncaster seemed to deserve at least a point,so a very welcomed 3 points in poor conditions.13 games unbeaten, and Southend away next on Tuesday.Hopefully we won’t take our foot off the gas,as it’s the sort of game we could lose.

Doncaster deservedly led and we were slow in the first half. Their defence kept Akinde quiet and, although conditions were challenging, we played too many high balls which the wind helped to send to their defenders and the wind certainly assisted their goal which was blooming great all the same.

We had 4 shots on target if you include the own goals as they were not a shot taken by a Gills player so don't count. I can't tell from the replays but from where I sat, it looked like O'Connor curled it straight in. The second own goal would probably have been scored anyway. After that, we tore them to pieces and were running them ragged but we didn't really test he 'keeper. Roberts somehow backheeled the ball wide when on the ground with the 'keeper stranded. They hit the post and Devante Cole should probably have equalised late on so it was the right result in my eyes but hard to tell how much of that was because of being down to 10 men for most of the game.
