I won watch wine and dine for this game,so it will be a new experience for me.Hopefully we can build on the Portsmouth win.I don’t think the players were that fussed playing Spurs young team the other night. The B Teams have made clubs less interested. You would expect the players to be raring to go v Southend.

I hope your right about the other night being a blip, trouble is I think a professional player would be embarrassed about getting a pasting from under 21's.
I'm hoping that with Zakuani, Lacey, Fuller all back our defence will be a little tighter, 2 - 1 Gills win sounds good.

Haha ,they play for Gillingham, Scally ensures that being embarrassed goes with the contract. I don't know which player is
"the leader" at GFC, but who ever it is I don't think is doing a very good job.
I get the impression all be it from afar, that the Space Telescope is not exactly a Sir Alex Ferguson, could you imagine playing for him and losing to a Spurs under 21 side ? If I had been one of his players I would have climbed the end zone wall and gone out the main gate before I went back into the dressing room after the game .
I don't know why but I get the feeling that the Space Telescope probably said something like well done guys, nice try, unlucky, still it was Spurs so about what I expected.
I think he is a players manager, everyone likes him, and he will lead Gillingham FC to safety year in ,year out,for as long as he stays, just can not see him being strong enough to ever get us promoted.

The hospitality was excellent,as was the food and drink. As for the match a scrappy first half, but once their pace beat us twice we resulted to more hoofball. So disappointing with a new pitch, and after the great win at Portsmouth last week.Barry Fuller made some fantastically timed tackles, and was robbed of MOTM.

What was the new pitch like, did it play any different ,ball bouncing higher , pitch cutting up or was everything looking great, well except the guys in blue playing on it ??

I live streamed the game , and it didn't appear to have any detrimental effect on the ball ( although the pitch had been liberally watered , which slowed it down a bit ) . As to the pitch itself , it looked to have held up well

Certainly seemed fine. I was worried about sliding in sideways against where they joined together but it didn't lift up. Two weeks between games and I think it would look even more lush and different.

OK thanks, guess thats good. Shame we didn't put a " cheap pitch " down in the off season , and spend that half a million quid on players, but of course that would require a bit of thought and pre-planning, something the good folks at GFC don't appear to have a lot of UNLESS our owner is getting everything ready to sell the team and ground.
Maybe it's a sign, our Mega Millions prize tomorrow is going to be close to ONE BILLION, yes thats BILLION DOLLARS which in POUNDS SHILLINGS AND PENCE is 768,000,000 POUNDS, the Power Ball tonight is ONLY worth $460,million, which is only like 354, million pounds,
Anyone that dreams of 5 numbers between and 1 and 70, and a number between 1 and 25 for the Mega and Power Ball ,give me a shout I will buy the ticket, and you Sir or Madam will have front seats at Priestfield for life and a nice spot to park the Ferrari which will be part of your prize and do you want a house in Hawaii or the Caribbean, haha ?
Lets see GFC is worth 2.23 Million Pounds, don't know if that includes the stadium, so lets say 5 million will cover the lot, 10 million for new players at the transfer window, maybe 2 million a year for a manager, lets say 25 million in a bank account should convince the FA to let Scally sell me the team, so start dreaming folks, if were not in it we can't win it, hahahaha.
