This is only the Gills 3rd FA Cup replay in 14 years. 2 ended is wins but the last a defeat - that was the replay at Brackley 3 years ago.

The Gills have faced non-league opposition on their home turf 19 times in the first round of the FA Cup, winning 11 and losing 4.

The Gills have lost 4 times in Round 1 away to non-league opposition: Walthamstow (1953/4), Welling (1989/90), Burscough (2005/6) and of course Brackley (2013/14).

The Gills total FA Cup Round 1 record on away grounds stands at Won 15, Drawn 17 and Lost 23 with a further 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat occurring on neutral grounds.

The Gills are looking to make Round 2 after 4 seasons of losing in the first. They won in Round 1 in 5 of the 7 seasons before those.

Like three years ago we have an FA Cup replay live on BT Sports at Brackley. How we didn`t score that night I will never know! The win against Norhampton on Saturday was a massive result,so it should be a confidence boost going into this game.If we play to our best then we should win.

Going to win this one easy, 3 or 4-1, knowing we have a pathetic Blackpool team in the next round will give the boys a desire to win these two games, so in the third round we will get a nice money maker draw , Go Gills.
P.S. someone tell Glasgow there is a game tomorrow, but he can stay home, the lads themselves can handle it.

I think Gillingham will line up as follows.......................

------------------------------------Nelson-------------------------------------------
Jackson------------Ehmer----------------------Cargill------------------Konchesky
---------------------Wright----------------------Knott------------------------------
Emmanuel-Thomas-----------Hessenthaler------------------------------Wagstaff
----------------------------------McDonald------------------------------------------

Subs: Hadler (GK), Oshilaja, Garmston, Oldaker, Osadebe, Dack, Donnelly

I will try and name as close to the team that lined up against Northampton Town as possible, with Scott Wagstaff replacing Frank Nouble - who could miss tonight's match through injury - now this means that there is no place for Bradley Dack in The Starting Line Up, I think with the way Brackley Town will play and the way The Referee will allow this match to flow, there will be some reckless challenges tonight where The Home Team will be allowed to tackle our players more aggressively then we can, and considering that Bradley Dack has only just come back from injury and played for thirty minutes against Northampton Town on Saturday, I think it would be wise to ensure that we can call upon Bradley Dack when the game stretches, and with the possibility of extra time, then we will want to see Bradley Dack fully fit against tiring Brackley Town Defenders at the crucial moment in this match.

The Squad is getting stronger, as I haven't named Josh Pask, Mark Byrne or Elliott List and these three are all available for selection and Chris Herd is pushing for an recall into the first team as well, so competition for places will get the best out of the squad, and hopefully that competition for places will get Gillingham over the line tonight - COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just been looking at the odds for tonights game,
1-0 to Gillingham.....................10/1
2-0 to Gills.............................11/1
The bets I like are Gills 2-1 win........ 8/1 and Gills to win 3/1....... 13/1, think I will put a tenner on these two.

Amazing having to fight our way back from 0-2 down against a team like Brackley Town, and if anyone says the Magic of the Cup I will scream, lol.

I don't think I have any words left to describe how fragile we look! 6 goals against a side in the 2nd tier of semi-pro football? We will NEVER keep a clean sheet this season in a meaningful match!

So played four against them, not won any! I'm so disillusioned this year I actually forgot we were playing and was reading in the other room whilst my wife and daughter were watching the jungle thing. I only realised we had lost when my son tweeted me! There's no way that would have happened a few years ago! Not sure JEDs lost the changing room but he's in danger of losing me!

Really nice to read reports that your team were humiliated, embarrassed, made to look like F'ing idiots, (OK I added the last one), only good thing we could drop Edinburgh at the front door of his home in Essex before the rest of the team came back to the Medway Towns.
Good night Jed,
Good night Jed,
Good night Jed,
Were glad to see you GO, ( for ever ) ?
