The last game at Priestfield against Northampton saw us win 2-0. The one before (November 2011) saw a 4-3 win, a last minute Kedwell penalty, the last Gills hat-trick and a Saido Berahino brace!

Northampton (with Akinfenwa and Jackman in their squad) last won at Priestfield in January 2008, their 4th straight win here at the time. The Gills have won the last 3 however.

The Gills have won 4 of the last 5 meetings with the other ending as a draw. Overall Northampton lead the wins 51 to 39 (18 draws).

Town have only lost 2 of their last 24 away league games (both coming this season). The first on the 17th September was their first away league loss since October 2015.

Northampton were unbeaten in their first 7 games extending their league unbeaten run to 27. They then lost 4 out of 7 but have won their last 2 (4-2 and 3-2).

Northampton drew all of their opening 5 league games but have only seen 1 of their last 11 end level.

Both sides have conceded the most second half goals in the league (the Gills 17, Northampton 16) but Town only conceded 7 in the first halves before today.

A tough game at Priestfield on Saturday,as promoted Northampton have settled into League one really well. They`re scoring a lot of goals, and sit in a play-off place.A defeat for us could put us in the bottom 4,so we really can do with a win.

Gills Team? Edinburgh will have a few decisions to make with Garmston ready to start matches, and Oldaker really impressing on Tuesday night.Cargill will be looking to start too.

Oh good grief your asking Glasgow to make a decision, lol, he will still be sitting in the dressing room debating where to play who at kick off time, three points to Nthmptn, for Gillingham failing to put anyone on the pitch at 3 pm Saturday.

A massive result for the Club,we really needed that! Was frustrating listening to us go in at half-time 0-1 down when we were the better Team. The second half was a great response as we equalised through Ehmer just three minutes into the second half.Northampton seemed to have chances as did we,but we finally got a bit of good fortune with us for a change grabbing a late goal.A decent finish from JET in the 92nd minute and his first goal at Priestfield.A big turnaround as a defeat would have put us in the bottom 4.Lets hope we can build on this result now.Cargill coming into the side looked to have really helped. He had a cut head and a bandage on,so he was channelling Terry Butcher.

tA nice three points, well done Gillingham, that gets us a bit of breathing space and secures Glasgow a job for another week or so. Amazing,WE actually scored in O/T, not the other team, lol.

I thought we looked much better with a well balanced team yesterday. Cargill was excellent at the back; my MOM which can only be good going forward. Noble and JET caused real problems for NT in the first half and we were unlucky to go in st half time behind. Nouble running out of steam at about 70 minutes was a disappointment and I thought JET had gone as well until he summoned up some energy right at the end to snatch victory with a lovely strike. The midfield looked more in tune with each other and we tried to play football for much of the game rather than just booting it anywhere. The most encouraging thing was the calm way we saw out the last few minutes after we took the lead. For once I wasn't too worri d. Well done Gills; onwards and upwards!!

Whilst we still had a few dodgy moments at the back it was overall a much better performance, scoring in extra time, injury time, but not overtime gillsfan 1066, we don't want any Americanisms here it's time you had a spell back home. ;)

Given our recent poor form it must have been tough to get our heads up after going behind, so well done GFC. Let's hope it's a turning point.
