Threw the game, banking on NOT having to travel to Millwall next season and sure as hell didn't want to have to travel to Gillingham, if we had gone up. What other reason could it be, surly Barnsley could not have gone out there WANTING to win could they, putting a 110% effort into WANTING to win. Burton would have had to score 25 goals to catch them on G/D so it didn't matter.
Either that or the Wigan players were all drunk, lol.

A sad end,but predictable with how our results have been the last 10+ matches. We gave a lot of effort, but our hoof ball style was easy for Millwall`s defenders. When we got the ball down we did look good.Millwall looked the better Team, and played a good passing game.Nelson made two great saves to make sure we went in 0-0 at half-time.He also made a save for their goal, but they scored the rebound.Millwall went down to 10 men when ex Gill Romeo was sent off for a two footed challenge, then Neil Harris was sent to the stands after reacting badly to the sending off. There was something to cheer when the ball found Egan late on,who smacked it in off the bar for 1-1.Priestfield went crazy and it was now just make sure we don`t lose to them. But deep into stoppage time Dickenson gave away a penalty when the whistle was just about to go.Looking at the challenge again, there doesn`t look much in it.Gregory scored their penalty and that was that. Our first defeat to Millwall at Priestfield since 1997,and the lap of honour was a quiet one. Results went against us anyway, but to finish with 4 straight defeats at home, and to drop away from the top 6 so late in the season makes it feel a poor season even though we have finished higher each season we have been back in League 1.

Key players will go,so it is all about the recruitment in the summer now. Will we get another chance like this next season? League 1 certainly looks stronger on paper.Maybe a top half finish again should be the aim,but I do fear it will be a bit of a struggle next season.

I apper to be the only one that thinks Glasgow is not a very good manager, but I blame him 100% for our failure to make the playoffs, God we were ther we had it in our pocket and he failed to motivate a good team for the second half of the season.
If were going to lose a couple of players I hope they go soon, lets get the money early and spend it wisely, I really don't want us to be a week or two before the new season starts picking up the talent thats left after every other team has picked through it.
So here we go into another off season, not much to cheer about in the cricket, Kent in 3rd place in DIVISION 2 thats an insult if there ever was one, and the Olympics , like anyone knows the name of three people in any event, so it's going to be golf, work, golf work, oh and talk to her at home, so beer ,beer and more beer.

I reckon Edinburgh will need a good August & September,as the stats are something like 4 wins in 20.

There is just one tiny silver lining, I didn't waste time, money, effort, the thrill of the Dartford crossing, tyre rubber and false hope by going to the game.

Question is that toll bridge at Dartford just one way ,as from Essex to Kent, and if it is how do you go south to north ?

You go north through the tunnel and south over the bridge (or bypass it by going down the A13 if you have a few hours to spare).
