I think Gillingham will line up as follows.......................
---------------------------------G.Morris--------------------------------------
Hoyte----------------Egan-------------------Ehmer----------------------Bell
--------------------A.Morris-------------------Loft-----------------------------
McGlashan--------------------------------------------------------------Norris
-----------------------------------Dack----------------------------------------
--------------------------------McDonald--------------------------------------
Subs: Nelson (GK), Legge, Hessenthaler, Pritchard, Muldoon, Dickenson, Marquis
While The 3.4.1.2 formation was a success attacking wise, defensively Gillingham got found out as Darius Henderson caused us a lot of problems at the back with his physical presence and with Jon Stead and James Hanson up-front for Bradford City and Bradford City likely to knock long balls into these two, then I don't think Gillingham will be too adventurous going forward.
Chances are that Justin Edinburgh will stick with his 4.2.3.1 formation he played against Fleetwood Town with two defensive holding midfielder's in-front of the back four, Justin Edinburgh refused to change to one defensive midfielder when he had chances to bring on Brennan Dickenson and then Leon Legge as a emergency centre forward and Aaron Morris and Doug Loft will both protect the back four with Jermaine McGlashan, Luke Norris and Bradley Dack all supporting Cody McDonald up-front - Amari'i Bell will probably have to play as a left winger to provide us with a option on the left wing as Luke Norris will drift inside into a more central position.
After his brace against Leyton Orient on Easter Monday, Cody McDonald has to start because Cody McDonald stuck the ball into the back of the net when the chances came his way, Luke Norris did well to assist Jermaine McGlashan and win the penalty which Cody McDonald scored, but Luke Norris saw his shots on goal saved by Alex Cisak - although 1-2 of those shots were straight at the goalkeeper.
Gillingham need to end the season strongly at home, but three wins out of three against Bradford City, Rochdale and Notts County is going to be very difficult, but that is what Gillingham need to do, one more win will ensure League One Football Next Season, but I don't want to see Gillingham settle on survival, I want to see Gillingham push for a top half / top ten finish between now and the end of the season.
Hopefully we're all smiling at 5PM tomorrow as Gillingham pick up three valuable points - COME ON YOU GILLS!!!!!!!!
