Will be interesting to see the next crop of players coming through from these. Exciting times. They have done really well so it would be a shame if too many first teamers took their place instead, it will always be a development squad match anyway.

Gillingham face Margate for a place in the Kent Senior Cup final and boss Justin Edinburgh insists he’s in it to win it.

I think Gillingham will line up as follows.......................

----------------------------------G.Morris--------------------------------------
Romeo---------------Legge--------------------McKain------------M.Dickenson
----------------------------------Staunton--------------------------------------
Webster------------------------Blanchard----------------------------Galbraith
----------------------Norris-------------------B.Dickenson----------------------

Subs: Haigh (GK), Bent, Leonard, Cundle, Freiter

I think Glenn Morris, Leon Legge, Danny Galbraith, Luke Norris and Brennan Dickenson will all start against Margate in The Kent Senior Cup, Justin Edinburgh has insisted that he will give the competition the respect it deserves and Gillingham will name a strong squad tonight, with Margate expected to name a strong squad as well then this match will have more of a first team feel to it compared to The Dartford Match as both teams played there youngsters in that incredible 7 - 3 result.

Four of our Development Squad Players have impressed me in the previous two rounds, Mahlon Romeo is a very promising right back who has the pace to get forward and track back, Charlie Webster has scored against both Dartford and Tonbridge Angels and is a player I feel will make his first team debut for Gillingham before the end of the season, Josh Staunton has impressed at both centre back and as a defensive holding midfielder and Aidan Blanchard has been scoring goals for Gillingham in The Reserve League and Aidan Blanchard scored against Dartford and plays in The Number Ten Role.

Hopefully Gillingham can win against Margate and progress to The Kent Senior Cup Final - COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!

Gills are in the Kent Senior Cup Final after beating Margate 6-5 on penalties. The score was 1-1,but the game went straight to penalties.Gills will now play either Ramsgate or Charlton in the Final. After reaching the Final it would be great to win it as it is a bit of silverware to add to the Club honours.

I understand that it's great to win ANYTHING if your Gillingham, after all the cabinet is pretty empty after over a 100 years, but the Kent Senior Cup ,against teams like Margate and Folkstone, lol.
