The Gills failed to beat Yeovil in our first 7 ties against the Somerset club but are unbeaten in the last 4 winning 3 of them.

This is our 7th trip to Yeovil. Our only win there came earlier this season when the Gills secured a 2-1 win in the League Cup.

3 of the 11 ties between the sides have ended 0-0. They are the only draws between the sides.

Yeovil have only managed to scored 4 goals in their last 10 home games. Their 8 home goals and 23 overall are the worst totals in League 1.

The Gills have scored 24 goals away from home, 1 more than Yeovil have managed in total.

Yeovil have led at home in the league for just 138 of their 1,350 minutes (10.2% of the season), the lowest home total in the league.

Yeovil failed to score in 12 of their last 18 league games including in 5 straight home defeats. They have won 2 and drawn 1 at home since.

Yeovil have suffered 16 blank sheets in the league, 5 more than the next worse side in the division! The Gills have only had 7. Of Yeovil's 16 blank sheets, 8 have come in home games but they have only managed 3 clean sheets there.

The Gills scored more goals in the 2nd half of games and also in their last 12 league games than Yeovil had managed in their entire 31 games this season.

Just TWO of Yeovil's goals at home in the league have been scored before the 65th minute (one an own goal).

The Gills top the last 6 form table and are 3rd in the last 10 league form table as well, outscoring all other teams in the division before today.

We can go into this game with full of confidence. We`re 7 games unbeaten in all competitions and fear no one.The results have been fantastic, but this is the sort of game we usually slip up in.Yeovil are fighting to get out of the bottom 4 so they will be tough opposition. If we play like we have been then we can get the 3 points.

Two big games coming up, six points from these two will set us up for a nice run in to the end of the season, and a chance ,just a chance of climbing into the top 6 or 7.
I think were going to bitch slap Yeovil, they deserve it for playing in silly shirts, Gills will score three at least.

One of the things I will be doing on Saturday is going to watch Gillingham Town take on Bristol Manor Farm at Hardings Lane and the match kicks off at 12PM on the same-day Gillingham play against Yeovil Town.

http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/gillinghamtownfc/news/gillingham-fc-fans-are-invited-to-town-1360024.html- Gillingham Town have also posted a message on there own website saying that they hope as many Gillingham Supporters come along to Hardings Lane and show there support for Gillingham Town.

As for how Gillingham will line up against Yeovil Town ??? - I think we will keep with Stuart Nelson in goal, Gavin Hoyte, John Egan, Max Ehmer and Bradley Garmston in defence, Jake Hessenthaler, Danny Galbraith, Doug Loft and Bradley Dack in a four man diamond midfield, and Cody McDonald and John Marquis up-front, Justin Edinburgh isn't going to tinker with the team pointlessly because this has been how Gillingham have lined up over this incredible seven match unbeaten run, the only way I can see this team changing is if 1-2 players have picked up a few injuries and won't be able to play against Yeovil Town.

Yeovil just cannot score for anything and we have looked very menacing as well as scoring in 20 straight games. On paper its a 3-0 Gills but in reality a 1-0 Yeovil win!!!!!

Defensively we are worse than Yeovil with 47 goals conceded compared to their 45, it is imperative that we continue with the new attacking style that has been serving us so well in the last month. MK Dons have only conceded 31 goals this season 6 (almost 20% of the total) scored by us.

If we keep the pressure on the Yeovil defence this should be a comfortable win, start sitting back and we could throw this away.

I guess the difference is that we have won a few games 3-2 for example whilst they have lost a number 1-0. I agree with Baron, we need to just worry about our own style and for a side that has scored so few we should be able to over come them if we are positive enough.

Justin Edinburgh says the players must stay focused ahead of the Trip to Yeovil.
