Gillingham last won at Coventry in February 2002. 3 draws followed that 2-1 victory before City won last season's encounter 2-1.

Coventry have 23 victories over the Gills whilst we have managed 14 with 5 of those coming at Coventry.

In the 1933/34 season Coventry twice put 7 goals past the Gills winning 7-1 at home and 7-3 at Priestfield. Other than that 7-1 victory, other results in the other 23 City v Gills ties include wins for the hosts by 5-0, 6-4, 4-2, 4-0 (2), 4-1 (2) scorelines.

In the whole of last season the Gills managed 8 leads in away fixtures but have achieved 4 already this season from only 4 away games.

Before today, no League 1 side had led games for longer the Gills (261 minutes compared with league leaders Peterborough's 143).

The Gills have scored in their last 10 league fixtures and their last 7 away games in the league and cup.

Coventry were 5th in League 1 after 23 league games last season but would have been 22nd from the results from their final 23 matches.

Carried over from last season Coventry have 1 win in their last 12 league matches, (1-0 v Sheffield Utd). They have drawn their last 3.

More goals were scored in Coventry home games last season (80) than at any other League 1 ground. They let in 39 goals there, League 1's joint worst total along with relegated Tranmere.

Despite winning both cup away games this season, the Gills have lost 5 of their last 6 on the road in the league (conceding 4, 4, 3, 5 and 2 goals in them).

Coventry conceded more goals than any other League 1 side in the 2nd half last season (48) just 1 more than the Gills. Coventry also scored more last 10 minute goals (19) than any other League 1 side whilst the Gills conceded the most (20).
