It is only the 3rd time in 11 seasons that we end the season with a game at Priestfield. The Gills have won 2 of those previous 10.

The Gills have managed 4 wins in 11 matches, Shrewsbury have 4 in 26 and no wins in 7 on their travels. Home and away they have lost their last 4 and have also lost the last 3 games on their travels.

Shrewsbury have scored in both their last 2 away games but the 5 before all ended without them getting a goal.

Cody has scored in 3 successive games for the Gills on 3 occasions and has scored in a 4th game on both previous occasions.

13 games were level at half time in Gills home matches this season but only 5 ended that way at full time, gaining 4 points. 4 of the draws became wins and the other 4 ended as defeats.

Shrewsbury average the fewest points in League 1 from the game they score first in. Tranmere average the most (although they have scored first on the fewest occasions).

Shrewsbury have only managed to lead at half time in 8 of their 45 league games, winning 4. Both are the worst records in the league.

The Gills have never lost when Cody scores at Priestfield and have won all 6 when Charlie Lee scores.

Defeat today would see the Gills lose their 2000th game from 5,139 Southern and Football League matches (as well as their associated cups), FA Cup matches and Football League Trophy games.

The Gills following at Wolves totaled 1,222. The highest away attendance so far at Priestfield this season has been 1,144 from Brentford.
