The thread had gone to a slightly broader discussion and without a blink it was taken back to a dry and factual article. One of the biggest fans yes, laugh a minute in the boozer I think not! ;)

I`m pleased we have won the game and are in the next round, where we can get a Premier League side not in Europe.Yeovil did sound like they had quite a bit of the ball, but luck was on our side tonight.A mix up from their keeper and defender which allowed Dickenson to slot in to an empty net. They equalised with a rocket, and then not long after we scored a belter ourselves from Aaron Morris who got the winning goal.It was good to hear that Glenn Morris made a few good saves as that will give him some much needed confidence.

I didn`t think we would go through, but i`m very pleased we have gone through. Most importantly this should give us a bit of confidence for the League game on Saturday.

A total of 2,200 went to see this game, guess we didn't make much money from that did we, hope we get a good draw in the next round ?? Seems we had 50% of the play but might have been lucky to come away with the win, looks as if it could have gone to penalty's but a win,is a win so thank you the gods of football.

Lol Elg. I guess that's why I always preferred the official board and set this up. It had quite a differing group all adding something different whereas other boards consisted of everybody saying precisely the same thing or threatening to kill each other!

I found out a few things I didn't previously know and we seem to have more exiled fans than some boards who appreciate the detail (and I suppose the thread is specifically about the match itself also). For my part more discussions has more log ins so it has to be good!

I had to laugh at Elg 's post too. That doesn't mean FOM we don't appreciate the time and effort that goes into your posts ! One day I will have to discuss the Mulligoon's 'goalscoring;' record with you though, which is rivalled only Mark Wynter's greatest hits album.

I have a little soft spot for Mulligan. He scored the only goal of the game on my 30th after I had a full tour and matchday experience. I was meant to meet the goalscorer after the match but it never happened and I went to the Blues and spent a fair bit of time having a drink with Hessy who, by chance, was back for a charity event. Much better!

Of course I had had a little to drink by that point!

The draw is Tonight,so we could get Man Utd :) .A big money making draw could help Taylor bring in a good signing before the Window closes as well.

Gary , if that was me I would immediately have gone out and put my mortgage on something in the next race at Folkestone, preferably the one that looked like a donkey. Your luck was definitely in that day.

Ha ha ha. We went from being very disappointed to it being the highlight of a marvelous day! Of course this was when Hessy was a former Gills legend and not a member of staff like the following 3 or 4 times but what a pleasure it was to talk to him. Can't imagine doing that with Martin Allen!!!

Hessy is a great man to talk too. I spoke to him a lot when I did the Tour De Kent bike ride over the 3 days. Very funny man, good company.

I dont think I would have much to say if I was in M Allens company

I'd spend the entire time closest to the door......or just offer to walk Monty instead!

Blimey I can hear Burham spitting out his dummy and throwing his toys out of his pram at the mention of Hessy and Good Man in the same sentence! :P
