Saturday 5th
Match day - Stockport County 0-1 GILLS (League 2)

Sunday 6th
The Gills win against Stockport made it just 1 opening day defeat in the last 9 seasons (the loss being last season's loss at AFC Wimbledon). The Gills have won 5 and drawn 3 of their last 9 opening day league and cup games. Their only other 4th tier 1st-game away win came in the 2012/3 title winning season.

Monday 7th
In 2016, the Gills won 4 away games in the month of August. Since then, the seasons combined have only seen 3 more wins in the month of August away from home with the win against Stockport being the 3rd. They have at least 2 more opportunities this month to extend this).

Tuesday 8th
Match day - GILLS 3-1 Southampton (League Cup, Round 1)

Wednesday 9th
Robbie McKenzie scored after coming on in the 69th minute vs Stockport then scored his 2nd of the night vs Southampton in the 67th minute (3 goals and 1 disallowed in 88 minutes). He had previously scored 6 goals in his Gills career - a goal every 1,564.5 minutes on average.

Thursday 10th
The Gills have won their last 3 league and cup games, something they have only managed to do once since the end of the 2019/20 season (and came in the improved second half of last season). They haven't won 4 consecutive home & away league & cup games since 2017/18.

Friday 11th
The Gills will be seeking to secure their first home league win of the season against Accrington on Saturday. A win would give the Gills 3 league and cup wins from their opening 3 matches, something they last achieved in the 2016/17 season.
