I wonder if that is a transfer window option suggesting Flanagan won't be staying past his loan. I thought we were pretty ok in that department which possible also says Martin Allen has little or no confidence in Essam.

Dont know if anyone heard the interview that Tom Flanagan did on Radio Kent after the Burton game! He said that if it can be sorted between the clubs he wants to stay at Gillingham

Yeah but that's largely down to the parent club though isn't Mark. If they no longer require his services then we need to stump up the cash to buy him. If he does stay longer then we really would have an abundance in that position!

I'm more interested in why the Gaffer seems to have no time for Connor Essam.

Didn't Martin Allen says before the first game that Conor Essam's fitness level was nowhere near that of the other players, but he was trying to working hard to get to the required standard? Even at Luton he has only started 2 of 8 games during the loan and not even on the bench for 3 of them!

He seemed really down to earth at the Noircat evening. Hope his head hasn't got too big since signing his contract after we all praised him up!

I find it hard to believe one out of all the players wasn't as fit as all the others, not even getting 2 minutes of playing time! Goes out on loan to get sharper and then not used there either. Unfortunately (and I hope I am wrong) it sounds like there is more going on there and we may have another Rooney-esque situation.
