Just realised he has signed a 2 and a half year contract, which hasn't come into affect yet. Fab news! He sounded like the difference today on the radio. 1184 Gills fans there today, any opinions of him please?

My mate is a big Brentford fan and rates him very highly. He is suprised that he has dropped a division as he is a very solid Div 1 player. Only thing I can think is that Allen 'sold' the club to him with a promise of promotion. He also played with Weston and Allen knows him too. Good signing and with Wright not being released by Palace and Vincelot returning to Brighton, could be just the player we need.

He certainly sounded a massive presence didn't he, can't wait to see him and the rest!! The side had become a bit stale and Vincelot didn't look half the player he was when he started. Fresh faces, fresh impetus to get the wins going again.

Leon was superb today at Bristol Rovers, an awesome, commanding presence - enough said

So Steve on one game you believe we have signed Dave Watson. Connor Essam was getting rave reviews last season, but now he is dross according to god!

Looking forward to seeing Leon Legge play next week! Not seen him play yet, by the sounds of it the Brentford fans were disappointed he has been let go! Elg, Martin Allen obviously doesn't think Connor Essam is good enough for League One next season? He did say it was a difficult decision to let him go! Barrett, Legge, Davies, Frampton, McKain all in front of Essam now, may as well let him go to a club where he will get games! I'll have a sportsman's bet with you that he goes to a Conference club!!

May end up back at Dartford for the rest of the season, but teams at the bottom of the 2nd Division that are shipping goals might be interested. Reminds me of Dick Tydman , even looks a bit like him. Good luck to him and the others where ever they go.

Elgrande - hi - I've not seen a Gills centre back play like that in a number of years. It reminded me of the Pennock/Ashby period - they shall not pass! He will not be a one match wonder and will be brilliant with Barratt.
